Vous trouverez que ce guide n’est pas difficile à exploiter même sans l’aide d’un formateur. Le cours est divisé en quatre chapitres. Les trois premiers chapitres expliquent comment écrire le bozo, avec des exercices à remplir à la fin de chaque chapitre. Despite the rising interest in non-finite verb forms (infinitives, participles, converbs, action nominals (AN)) among typologically oriented linguists (e.g. König & van der Auwera 1990, Haspelmath & König 1995, van der Auwera 1998), insights into the topic from West African languages are still scarce. To help fill this huge gap, the present paper provides a descriptively oriented, text-corpus-based analysis of action nominals in Tigemaxo.

Au mois d'octobre 1990, Susan SMELTZER et Lee HOCHSTETLER, tous deux membres de la SIL, ont commencé des recherches de base et la planification de l'enquête bozo. Pendant les mois de janvier, février et mars l991, une équipe de la SIL a mené une enquête dialectologique parmi les parlers bozo du Delta intérieur du fleuve Niger au Mali. L'enquête s'est déroulée en deux phases: la première, l'enquête cartographique, a été réalisée du 30 janvier au 13 février. La seconde phase, qui comprenait des enquêtes lexicostatistique et sociolinguistique a été réalisée du 2 au 13 mars.

In January 2010, Rob Baker carried out ethnomusicological research amongst the Bozo people. The purpose of the visit was:
- Organological research: What musical instruments to the Bozo have? What are they made of, who plays them etc.
- Song genre research: What kind of songs exist and for what purposes? Which ones are sung in the Bozo language (rather than in Bambara)? Which song genres (if any) would be best suited for educational / literacy song composition?
- Attitudes towards music: How are musicians viewed in Bozo society? What are the attitudes towards listening to music/playing music? Is music therefore a valid and appropriate vehicle for communication amongst the Bozo?
